Series Information
Young Lady Albert is Courting Disaster (Albert Ke no Reijou wa Botsuraku wo go Shomou desu, fan translated
as The Daughter of the Albert House Wishes for Ruin,) is a Japanese light novel series written by Saki, with
character designs and illustrations by Futaba Hazuki. There is also an ongoing manga adaptation by
Tsukasa Satsuki.
Mary Albert, the eccentric 18-year-old daughter of a duke, suddenly remembers that she has been reincarnated into the
world of an otome game. The video game version
of Mary is a villainess, who cruelly harasses the heroine and is ultimately exiled at the end of the game. Although in
most otome game isekai series, the reincarnated "villainess" strives to avoid death or exile, Mary - reluctantly
accompanied by her personal butler Adi - instead decides to embrace her role and obtain game-Mary's "ruin" end.
The light novel series has eight volumes, and the manga, which began serialization in late 2018 and adapts the first
two light novels, currently has six volumes. Both the light novel series and manga series are licensed for English
publication by J-Novel.
